Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams has insisted that he will be ready for training camp despite suffering an ankle injury this week.
The 29-year-old will undergo an MRI scan after being told to wear a protective walking boot but is not worried about missing the start of the season.
"My ankle's good. As long as I'm ready for the start of the regular season, that's all that matters, but I'll be ready for the start of camp," he said according to ESPN New York.
The Nets get their season underway on October 30, when they face a trip to Cleveland to take on the Cavaliers.
