The Charlotte Bobcats have confirmed that Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will be out for up to six weeks with a fractured hand.
The small forward sustained the injury during the team's defeat to the Dallas Mavericks.
Further tests by the team revealed that the injury is a non-displaced fracture of the fourth metacarpal in his left hand, which will keep him off the court for four to six weeks.
The 20-year-old has averaged 9.1 points per game so far this season.
