Derrick Rose has stopped using crutches and could begin to travel again with his Chicago Bulls teammates in the near future.
The 2011 MVP tore the meniscus in his right knee in November and was ruled out for the season by the Bulls, but head coach Tom Thibodeau claims that Rose is making good progress in his rehabilitation.
"He's coming along fine," Thibodeau told reporters. "He's off the crutches. He's doing more and more but he still has a long way to go.
"But he'll probably start traveling in the next couple weeks. He's doing great."
Rose missed the whole of last season due to a torn ACL.
