Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving has revealed that he is making good progress in his bid to recover from knee surgery.
Irving missed all but one game of last season's NBA Finals due to the ongoing problem, and his fitness had been a key area of concern ahead of training camp.
"I am feeling great," Irving told reporters.
"I am taking my time with it. Obviously, it was a terrible injury but thank God I had the summer to start rehabbing and I am definitely progressing in the right way. Whatever my timeline is, it will be for the betterment of the team and for us to also compete for a world championship at the end of the season."
Irving averaged 21.7 points and 5.2 assists per game for Cleveland last season, his first year playing alongside LeBron James.
