LeBron James has said that Cleveland Cavaliers have come a long way but still have plenty of work to do following their NBA Finals defeat to Golden State Warriors.
Golden State clinched their first NBA title since 1975 thanks to a 4-2 series win.
James expressed his disappointment after the contest, but paid credit to Cleveland's opponents, who sealed a 105-97 victory to prevent the series from heading into a decider.
"We put ourselves back where this franchise needed to be - to be a contender, but we have a lot of work to do," NBA TV quotes James as saying.
"That team across the way - you tip your hat to them. They did a great job. It showed in these Finals."
James has won two titles in 12 seasons.
