Dirk Nowitzki has described moving up to 16th in the NBA's all-time points scorers list as a "great accomplishment".
The Dallas Mavericks power forward scored 19 points during the team's win over the Washington Wizards to jump above Jerry West, whose silhouette is used on the league's logo.
The German told ESPN: "It's nice, obviously a great accomplishment. 'The Logo' says it all and sums it up.
"It's another great milestone, but for now, I'll keep working and that's really about it. Like I always say, all these milestones are great once my career is over."
Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets power forward Kevin Garnett are the only active players with more points than Nowitzki.
