Denver Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried has said that his fighting spiriting helped him earn his first career 20-20 game as his side overcame the Utah Jazz 101-94 on Saturday night.
Faried fought hard to produce 24 points and 21 rebounds at the Pepsi Center, while Randy Foye also shone with 26 points for the Nuggets during the win.
"I was finally able to get it. I played a lot of minutes tonight, but I just kept fighting," Faried told reporters after the game.
"I don't care about the scoring; it was the rebounding more than anything. I hadn't gotten 20 rebounds this year at all, but I finally got it."
The encounter also saw Nuggets man Foye make a career-high 186 3-pointers for the season.
