The Denver Nuggets have announced that JJ Hickson has undergone surgery to repair an anterior cruciate ligament tear.
The forward sustained the injury to his right knee early in the fourth quarter in Friday's defeat to the Dallas Mavericks.
General manager Tim Connelly said in a brief statement: "We know he will attack his rehab with the same energy and hard work that he displays on the court every night."
The 25-year-old averaged 11.8 points per game for the Nuggets this season.
