JaVale McGee has been ruled out for the foreseeable future after the Denver Nuggets confirmed that he has suffered a stress fracture in his left tibia.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed limited minutes despite starting the majority of games in the early stages of the season, but his loss will be a big blow to the team as they are currently short in his position.
Timofey Mozgov is likely to be asked to play in the centre for the Nuggets, who could also ask J.J. Hickson to fill the void in that area in the same way he did last year for the Portland Trail Blazers.
McGee currently boasts an average of seven points per game in the five appearances he has made in the current campaign.
