The Detroit Pistons have been dealt a blow with the news that Jodie Meeks suffered a fractured foot on Wednesday night.
Meeks was forced off the court in the first half of Wednesday's 92-87 victory over the Utah Jazz as Detroit started the season with back-to-back wins.
It remains unclear how long the Pistons will be without the 28-year-old guard, but players who have previously been diagnosed with a Jones fracture have been kept out of action for up to eight weeks.
"We'll get further assessment and know better on a timetable in the next couple of days," Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy told mlive.com. "But they, they X-rayed him, he's got a Jones fracture."
The Pistons return to action against the Chicago Bulls, who have also won both of their opening games, on Friday night.
