Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Tuesday's games in the NBA.

The Brooklyn Nets blocked a last-gasp shot from LeBron James to complete a four-game sweep of the Miami Heat this season.

Mason Plumlee made the block with two seconds left to deny the two-time defending champions and clinch a one-point win for the Nets.

The Oklahoma City Thunder eased past the Sacramento Kings, despite Kevin Durant failing to score at least 25 points for the team for the first time in 41 games.

Durant and Caron Butler each added 23 points as the Thunder opened up a comfortable lead by the end of the first half, allowing the team to rest the league's leading points scorer in the fourth quarter.

A strong start by the Detroit Pistons ensured that they denied the Atlanta Hawks a third win in a row.

The Hawks, who are attempting to wrap up the final playoff place in the Eastern Conference, were eight points down at the end of the first quarter, while Rodney Stuckey finished the game with 29 for the Pistons.

The Minnesota Timberwolves cruised to a win over the San Antonio Spurs, leaving the Western Conference leaders with two defeats in their last three outings.

Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love combined for 41 to set up the win in a game which was originally scheduled to take place in Mexico in December, but was postponed due to smoke in the arena.

The Dallas Mavericks extended their winning run to five games with a comfortable victory over the Utah Jazz.

Dirk Nowitzki continued his recent good form with 21, moving him into the top 10 NBA points scorers of all time and keeping the Mavericks in seventh place in the Western Conference.

The Houston Rockets clinched their third win in a row, beating the Los Angeles Lakers in a high-scoring meeting at the Staples Center.

James Harden and Terrence Jones each scored 33 as the Rockets took a 25-point lead into the final quarter, before Nick Young and Jodie Meeks helped cut their lead late on.

The game was was Houston's highest-scoring of the season, but their worst defensive performance in more than five months.
