France's women's basketball team are through to the Olympic final to face the United States after an 81-64 win over Russian Federation.
France stormed into an 8-0 lead inside three minutes with a series of two-pointers, a start from which Russia never fully recovered.
Although Russia pulled back to 12-10 after six minutes, France continued to take their chances and took a 24-15 lead into the second quarter.
Midway through the second, France had opened up a 13-point lead but Russia staged a fightback to end the half just seven points down at 38-31.
The lead was then cut to five inside two minutes of the third quarter and then just two as Russia continued to attack.
The scores remained close until the end of the quarter when a three-pointer right at the buzzer gave France a 59-51 lead with just the final quarter to play.
It turned into a procession for the French with Russia scoring just 13 points in the final quarter in an 81-64 victory for France.
