Golden State Warriors power forward David Lee is set for an MRI scan after he aggravated a hamstring injury during his season debut against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night.
Lee will undergo the scan on Thursday afternoon for the strain in his left hamstring after he initially suffered the problem in a pre-season game against the Denver Nuggets last month.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr conceded that he was unsure of Lee's status and that a decision would be made following the results of the scan.
"He said it felt similar to the last one and we'll see how he is tomorrow, but that's a big blow for us because he's one of our leading scorers and rebounders, great player, and a lot of different ways we can use him," Kerr told reporters.
"So we're going to miss David but hopefully we're going to get him back 100% this time."
Draymond Green has started as power forward in Lee's absence and he finished with a career-high 24 points on Wednesday night while Lee scored six points in seven minutes before leaving the game.
