Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr has told of his excitement at coaching in his first playoff final series following the franchise's game-one victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Cleveland forward LeBron James notched a commanding 44 points on the night, but it was not enough as Warriors point guard Stephen Curry pulled off a memorable performance in overtime to help his side to a 108-100 win in California.
"It was great. This is so much fun. This is what we all dream of in the NBA, to play in the finals, to coach in the finals, to be part of all of this, two great teams," said Kerr, according to the NBA's official website.
"The crowd was fantastic. It's obviously more fun to win than it is to lose. But to be part of it, to feel it, I think all our players are excited about what's ahead here in the next couple weeks."
The two sides will meet again in game two of the seven-match series on Sunday night at the Oracle Arena.
