Chris Paul posted career-high numbers to help the Los Angeles Clippers to a 126-115 win over the Golden State Warriors in the NBA.
The point guard opened the scoring before Blake Griffin and JJ Redick ensured the the home side led by 10 points at the end of the first quarter.
Stephen Curry and David Lee were able to keep the Warriors in contention during the second quarter, with Lee adding a slam dunk just before the break to leave the visitors 68-55 down at half time.
Paul continued to stretch Golden State defensively, reaching the 40-point mark with just under three minutes left to play, adding a jump shot inside the final 90 seconds.
A strong run of scoring from Andrew Bogut gave the away side some late hope, but Redick kept the points coming for the Clippers to secure the win for the hosts.
