Indiana Pacers' president of basketball operations Larry Bird has insisted that the team will take its time with Paul George as he prepares to make his comeback from a broken leg.
George has missed the entire NBA season so far after being injured while training with the USA national team, but has now been declared available for the Pacers' looming clash with the Miami Heat.
"We're happy to have Paul back in uniform, and this is just another step in his rehabilitation from the injury," said Bird, according to the NBA's official website.
"He has worked hard to get to this point and still has work to do, but it's a positive step toward what we hope will be a full recovery at some point.
"His minutes will be limited in games he plays as we evaluate his progress moving forward."
The Pacers will be looking to build on their recent win over the Charlotte Hornets when they face Erik Spoelstra's men.
