Indiana Pacers president Larry Bird has insisted that the team are not looking to trade Danny Granger in the near future.
Granger has spent his entire seven-year NBA career with the Pacers but recent speculation suggested that the franchise may look to trade him before he enters the unrestricted free agency market in the summer.
"I've talked to Danny, talked to his agent. I'm not looking to trade him," Bird told the Indianapolis Star.
"But you never know. If the right thing came along that would help the franchise, I would have to look at it, but I'm not out there looking at deals."
Granger made his first appearance of the season in Friday's win over the Houston Rockets following a lengthy battle with patella tendonitis.
