Toney Douglas is on the brink of joining the Indiana Pacers shortly after his release from the New Orleans Pelicans, according to reports.
The Pelicans waivered the 29-year-old shooting guard last week, and he is already speaking to new teams ahead of the new campaign.
However, NBC Sports claims that Douglas is in advanced negotiations with the Pacers, and he will sign a one-year contract and join up with the squad for the start of pre-season training.
Douglas has a career average of 7.6 points per game.
