Chris Paul has a "50/50" chance of playing in game two of the Western Conference semi-finals against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday, according to Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers.
A hamstring problem prevented Paul from joining his teammates on court as they clinched a 117-101 victory in Texas on Monday evening, but Rivers remains hopeful that the point guard will be fit enough to help the visitors claim a potentially crucial 2-0 lead before returning home for the next two games.
"I'd say 50/50," Rivers told reporters. "I honestly don't know. My gut before last night was there would be a good chance so I'd probably lean that way. He looked good walking today.
"If he can play, he'll play. We just want to make sure he's healthy."
Austin Rivers will keep his place in the starting lineup if Paul is unavailable.
