The NBA has conceded that Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin's ejection against the Golden State Warriors was wrong.
Griffin became tangled up with Andrew Bogut to receive his second technical foul of the night after an initial incident where he was talking to Draymond Green after receiving an elbow in the previous quarter.
"After a league review of the Clippers-Warriors game, we have come to the conclusion that Blake Griffin should not have been ejected from the game," NBA president of basketball operations Rod Thorn said in an official statement.
The play angered Griffin, who said after the game that the Warriors had played "cowardly basketball" in a bid to get him ejected.
