Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Sunday's games in the NBA.

The Philadelphia 76ers matched the worst ever start to an NBA season as they slipped to an 0-18 record, throwing away a fourth-quarter lead against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The visitors were five points up with 10 minutes remaining, but Matt Barnes cut the gap before Zach Randolph put Memphis ahead with five minutes to go, leaving Marc Gasol and Mike Conley to see out the win.

The Los Angeles Clippers needed a strong fourth-quarter performance to hold off the Minnesota Timberwolves, giving them back-to-back wins.

Blake Griffin scored 12 of his 26 points in the final six minutes, keeping the home side ahead as Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns tried to close the gap.

The Charlotte Hornets picked up their fifth win in six games, holding off a late comeback from the Milwaukee Bucks at the Time Warner Cable Arena.

Kemba Walker made sure that the home side were ahead going into the fourth quarter, but Jabari Parker closed the gap before Greg Monroe tied the scores with a minute to play.

Walker and Nicolas Batum both made baskets in the final seconds though, giving Charlotte a 10-7 record.

The Los Angeles Lakers fell short as they tried to come from behind late on in their game against the Indiana Pacers, just hours after Kobe Bryant announced that he will retire at the end of this season.

Paul George led the Pacers to a 15-point lead early in the fourth, but Bryant and Jordan Clarkson closed the gap to a point with 12 seconds remaining.

Bryant had a chance to tie it with a three-pointer attempt, but his miss allowed George to put the win beyond doubt.

The Houston Rockets needed overtime to beat the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden after overcoming a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

Despite being without leading points scorer Carmelo Anthony, who was sidelined with illness, the Knicks surged ahead, with Derrick Williams leading the charge.

James Harden got Houston back into the contest, before Marcus Thornton made a three-pointer with 32 seconds remaining to force the extra spell, which Thornton dominated to give the visitors the win.

The Phoenix Suns ended their four-game losing streak with a narrow win over the Toronto Raptors.

Luis Scola could have tied the scores late on, but Eric Bledsoe blocked his three-pointer before making a couple of free throws down the other end to wrap up victory for Phoenix.

The Brooklyn Nets needed a strong finish to secure a narrow win over the Detroit Pistons, giving the team their fourth win of the campaign.

The scores were tied inside the final five minutes, but Brook Lopez and Jarrett Jack made a string of late free throws to edge the Nets ahead.

The Orlando Magic dominated their game against the Boston Celtics either side of half time to set up a comfortable win, leaving them 9-8 this season.

Victor Oladipo led the scoring off the bench for the hosts, adding 19 points, helping the Magic open up a 17-point lead heading into the final 12 minutes, which Boston never looked like closing.

Results in full: Milwaukee Bucks 82-87 Charlotte Hornets, Minnesota Timberwolves 99-107 Los Angeles Clippers, Detroit Pistons 83-87 Brooklyn Nets, Boston Celtics 91-110 Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns 107-102 Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers 84-92 Memphis Grizzlies, Houston Rockets 116-111 New York Knicks, Indiana Pacers 107-103 Los Angeles Lakers
