Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Friday's games in the NBA.

The Atlanta Hawks extended their winning run to 18 games after coming from behind in the fourth quarter to beat the Portland Trail Blazers.

Neither side managed to open up much of a lead, but the visitors were ahead going into the final period before Al Horford created a lead for the Eastern Conference leaders.

The Golden State Warriors slipped to back-to-back defeats as they were stunned by the Utah Jazz at EnergySolutions Arena.

Gordon Hayward led the scoring for the home side, despite suffering from a sinus infection, while the Western Conference leaders were unable to hit their stride after the break, despite a 32-point effort from Stephen Curry.

LeBron James returned from an injury to help the Cleveland Cavaliers to their ninth consecutive win, beating the Sacramento Kings.

The four-time MVP added 19 points despite still struggling with a wrist sprain, while Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving combined for 44 as the Cavaliers pulled away in the fourth.

The New Orleans Pelicans made a strong start to the second half to set up a narrow win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

Just a point separated the sides at the start of the second half, but Eric Gordon stepped up in Anthony Davis's absence with a season-high 28 to put the Pelicans in front, ending the Clippers' six-game winning streak.

The Dallas Mavericks came from behind after the break to secure a comfortable win over the Miami Heat.

The Heat were up 16 points in the third quarter, but a 37-2 run from the visitors helped them surge ahead, with Charlie Villanueva scoring 14 of his 20 points after the break.

The Houston Rockets made it four wins in a row as they held off a second-half comeback from the Boston Celtics.

The Rockets were up by 18 at the break before Brandon Bass cut the gap to just three points, but Donatas Motiejunas added 10 of his 26 points in the fourth to make sure of the win for Houston.

The Phoenix Suns survived a second-half push from the Chicago Bulls to secure a narrow win at the US Airways Center.

Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic combined for 44 to help the Suns surge ahead in the first half before Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler and Aaron Brooks got Chicago back into contention.

Brooks cut the lead to just two points with a little over 30 seconds still to go, but Bledsoe ensured that Phoenix stayed in front.

The Toronto Raptors needed overtime to get past the Brooklyn Nets after letting a big lead slip at the Barclays Center.

The Canadian side were up by 17 early in the second half before Jarrett Jack led the comeback on his way to finishing with a career-high 35 points.

Amir Johnson eventually put Toronto back ahead in overtime after scoring the dunk that took the game to the additional period.

The Philadelphia 76ers picked up their 10th win of the season after finishing strongly against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The teams were close throughout, but Michael Carter-Williams kept the points coming until the end, while the Timberwolves struggled with their shooting in the finals five minutes.
