Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James has issued a reassuring update on his condition after an injury scare at the weekend.
The 36-year-old went down clutching his shin after a collision with Desmond Bane of the Memphis Grizzlies but managed to hobble to his feet after on-court treatment.
James was seen grimacing as he attempted to walk off the problem, and there were fears that the four-time MVP had sustained another serious injury to the same leg that he suffered the major ankle sprain on last term.
However, James is optimistic that he will be fit for Tuesday's battle with the San Antonio Spurs, telling the media: "Hopefully I'm ready to go.
"The first thing I was thinking to myself was, 'Not again'. Because obviously it was almost similar but not the same kind of play. Guy falls into my leg and there's nothing you can do about it and I couldn't get my leg out of there in time."
James completed the game after getting to his feet and posted 19 points, six rebounds and six assists in Sunday's 121-118 triumph. body check tags ::
