Pau Gasol has said that he has not been fazed by reports linking him with a trade move away from the Los Angeles Lakers.
The power forward had been linked with a switch to the Cleveland Cavaliers, with Andrew Bynum heading the other way, but talks stalled and they completed a deal with the Chicago Bulls for Luol Deng instead.
The 33-year-old told ESPN: "I was getting all these messages [on Twitter], 'Farewell, Pau. Thanks for all your services', all that stuff. I don't really know how it really played out. I don't know the reason it didn't happen.
"I know probably that there will be other rumours and potential trades coming up, but I can't really worry about it. I just need to continue what I've been doing, which is come in and be ready to play and focus on what I need to do as a player for myself and my teammates.
"What do you do? You continue to work, you continue to compete, you continue to bring your best effort. That's what you do. That's all you can do. Continue to prepare, and hopefully that will give us a chance to win games and get wins."
Gasol has averaged 15.6 points per game with the Lakers this season.
