Former Los Angeles Lakers coach Phil Jackson has revealed that he could often "feel the hatred" from player Kobe Bryant.
Jackson had a broken relationship with the shooting guard, and then published a book in which he was highly critical of him.
"Ah, my good friend Kobe Bryant. Yes, quite often I could feel his hatred," Jackson told ESPN.
"Anyway, I've always seen Kobe as a truly great player, an intelligent guy and a remarkable person."
The pair went on to repair their relationship, while the Lakers won another two championships during Jackson's second stint with the franchise.
