The Los Angeles Lakers have confirmed that they have signed point guard Marcelo Huertas.
The 32-year-old has spent the past four seasons with FC Barcelona in the Spanish League, where he helped the club win the title three times.
Byron Scott's men have moved to sign Huertas on a one-year deal to provide experience at the position behind second overall 2015 Draft pick D'Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson for the 2015-16 campaign.
Huertas represented Brazil at the FIBAS World Cup and has won two gold medals in the competition and was also part of their squad at the 2012 Olympics.
