Steve Nash has said that he is "not getting involved" in the Los Angeles Lakers' search for a new coach.
Mike D'Antoni resigned after the team missed the playoffs in the 2013-14 season, with the team currently looking for his successor.
The point guard, who is the oldest active player in the NBA, told ESPN: "To be honest, I've tried to get away and clear my mind, and hopefully clearing my mind will help my body. So I'm kind of just sitting back and not getting involved in the process, even emotionally, and just waiting to see what they decide.
"I'm completely happy to have a conversation. But I'm also fine having nothing to do with it.
"It wasn't an enjoyable year for [D'Antoni]. I think he could foresee that next year wasn't going to be any more enjoyable from his standpoint, so I'm happy for him that he was able to walk away."
Nash's teammate Kobe Bryant has previously said that he would like to be involved in choosing the team's next coach.
