NBA Hall of Fame center Hakeem Olajuwon has paid tribute to Kobe Bryant's ability in the post.
The 35-year-old is currently recovering from a torn Achilles, and it is unclear at this stage as to whether or not he will recover in time for the season opener.
Nevertheless, Olajuwon has described Bryant as a "genius", and he will have had a direct impact on his improvement in the post after the pair spent time together in the off-season in 2009.
"Kobe is a genius. He understands. He loves the post. If he could stay there all day, he would stay in the post," Olajuwon said in an interview with Nice Kicks.
With Dwight Howard switching to the Houston Rockets, Bryant will continue to shoulder the responsibility for the Los Angeles Lakers next season.
