The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly made plans to interview Lionel Hollins about the possibility of taking over as head coach.
Mike D'Antoni's sacking in April has seen a number of candidates linked to the role, with Byron Scott and Mike Dunleavy both being interviewed by the franchise's hierarchy in recent weeks.
However, Hollins has emerged as a contender to replace D'Antoni and will hold talks later this week, according to Yahoo Sport.
Hollins will be the only coach to be interviewed that doesn't have previous ties with the Lakers as the franchise attempts to return to the successful period they enjoyed last decade.
The 60-year-old has been out of a job since leaving the Memphis Grizzlies last summer.
