The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly decided to keep Byron Scott as head coach until at least the end of the current season.
As the Lakers continue a rebuilding process, their struggles to remain competitive have caused Scott to attract plenty of criticism in a 3-19 start to the season.
Changes to the lineup have followed, with Julius Randle and D'Angelo Russell, who are both seen as key to the team's future, dropping to the bench recently.
Despite their poor performances, the Los Angeles Daily News claims that the front office are still supporting Scott and do not plan to make a coaching change during the season.
The Lakers are expected to target the likes of Kevin Durant and DeMar DeRozan in free agency next summer when Kobe Bryant's retirement will increase their cap space.
