Memphis Grizzlies star Marc Gasol has insisted that he will play against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night despite a knee bone bruise.
The Grizzlies announced an injury update on Thursday after the Spaniard sustained the knock during the 105-96 loss to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night.
Gasol tied his season-low with eight points in the game as he struggled with the injury, and he underwent an MRI scan on Thursday to reveal the extent of the damage.
"I'm ready to go. We'll get back to playing the way we play," Gasol told reporters.
The 29-year-old is leading the Grizzlies with 19.4 points per game and is also averaging eight rebounds a contest.
