Hassan Whiteside needed 10 stitches in his hand after picking up an injury during the Miami Heat's defeat to the Milwaukee Bucks at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
The center had to leave the game in the second quarter after hitting the rim, leaving him with a gash between his fingers on his right hand.
The 25-year-old told ESPN: "I don't know if I am going to be able to play tomorrow. We are going to see how it feels, day to day.
"I can't feel my hand right now. I'll know tomorrow morning it will be throbbing and I will feel the pain a lot more.
"You got to be careful with stitches. You don't want to open it up or get it infected. So they basically said day to day, we will see what happens."
Whiteside has been averaging 11.2 points per game with the Heat this season.
