The Miami Heat have made plans to sign free agent Michael Beasley, according to a report.
Beasley was waived by the Phoenix Suns last week after being arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana, but his troubles will not prevent the Heat from attempting to sign a player who represented the franchise for two years from 2008.
A number of senior players in Miami have expressed their approval over the move for the 24-year-old, according to Yahoo Sports.
Beasley is rumoured to be interested in a return to the Heat despite being traded in 2010 to make room for the signings of LeBron James and Chris Bosh.
An offer has yet to have been made to Beasley.
