Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Tuesday evening's games in the NBA.

The Brooklyn Nets recovered from their defeat to the Orlando Magic with a comfortable victory over the Utah Jazz.

The home side were 10 points up at the end of the first quarter, and continued to extend their lead until late on, with Brook Lopez leading the scoring with 27 points.

The Miami Heat recorded a second consecutive win to give themselves a winning record for the first time since the opening game of the season.

Jonas Valanciunas got the Toronto Raptors off to a strong start against the current NBA champions, scoring 10 points in the opening quarter, but LeBron James ensured that the score kept rising for the Heat, finishing the game with 35 points to lead Miami to a 104-95 win.

A strong performance in the opening two quarters set up the Dallas Mavericks for a 123-104 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

The road side had eight players on the scoreboard at the end of the first quarter, as they outscored the Lakers by 13 points in the opening 12 minutes, while Monta Ellis finished the game with 30 points.

Pau Gasol was the only Lakers player to reach double figures, scoring 10 points during a 32-minute spell.

The Indiana Pacers maintained their unbeaten start to the season as they claimed an eight-point victory over the Detroit Pistons.

The NBA's only unbeaten side looked to be in trouble, finding themselves three points behind at half time, but a Paul George-led spell in the third quarter helped Detroit open up a comfortable lead.

The Charlotte Bobcats survived a late comeback from the New York Knicks, securing a 102-97 win at Madison Square Garden.

The visitors had a 10-point advantage after the first two quarters, but Carmelo Anthony added 32 points as the Knicks looked for their second win of the season.

However, 25 points, five rebounds, six assists and a steal from Kemba Walker was enough for the Bobcats to hold on.

James Harden and Dwight Howard combined for 62 points to lead the Houston Rockets to a 116-101 win over the Portland Trail Blazers.

The teams were close throughout, with Dwight Howard scoring 28 for the hosts, but Houston were able to pull away late on.

A 37-point third quarter helped the Phoenix Suns take a win over the New Orleans Pelicans.

Eric Bledsoe led the way late on, scoring 10 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter to help the team overturn a first-half deficit and bounce back from their only defeat of the season.

The San Antonio Spurs came from behind in the fourth quarter to beat the Denver Nuggets 102-94.

The Spurs were 16 points down heading into the final 12 minutes, but Tony Parker and Tim Duncan led the late push, finishing the game with 41 points between them.

The Atlanta Hawks held on for a win over the Sacramento Kings to secure their second win of the season.

The visitors had a 17-point lead heading into the fourth quarter, before an 18-point quarter from Isaiah Thomas brought the Suns back into contention, but Al Horford was able to seal the win with some late baskets.
