Lance Stephenson has admitted that LeBron James "stepped up" in game four of the Eastern Conference finals after the comments he made about the four-time MVP prior to the meeting.
The Indiana Pacers guard had suggested that he was getting under James's skin following a confrontation between the two earlier in the series.
However, James ensured that he was at his best on Monday night as he scored 32 points to lead the Miami Heat to a 102-90 victory which gives them a 3-1 lead.
"I was trying to get into his head," Stephenson told reporters following the defeat at the AmericanAirlines Arena. "I guess he stepped up and got the win. I can take the heat."
Miami can book their spot in the NBA finals with a win in game five on Wednesday night.
