Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade has insisted that his improved health has resulted in his recent resurgence on the court this season.
Wade scored 32 points in the Heat's 108-104 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night, and it marked the seventh straight game that he has scored at least 25 points.
It is the longest such streak since he achieved it in eight consecutive games in 2010, and a recent change in his workout routine has played a pivotal role.
"This is the best I've felt in years right now," Wade said, according to ESPN.
"You question it. And you try not to question it, like 'Why? Why couldn't I feel like this the last two years?' But it is what it is. I'm feeling like this now, when I need it individually to [carry] more of a load to help this team."
Miami have won six of their last nine games during Wade's good run, with coach Erik Spoelstra confident that the veteran can see them over the line in the fourth quarter of close games.
