The Chicago Bulls put their recent form behind them to thrash the Miami Heat 107-87.
The home side had lost six of their seven previous outings, but opened up an early advantage against the defending NBA champions.
Carlos Boozer dominated the game, scoring 27 points for Chicago, while Luol Deng, Taj Gibson and Joakim Noah also had strong shooting performances.
LeBron James tried to lead a comeback, helping the Heat reduce their opponents' lead from 25 points to 12 late on before a late flourish from Boozer.
The Bulls remain third in the Central Division, while the Heat have a comfortable lead in the Southeast.
