The Miami Heat suffered their heaviest defeat of the 2013-14 NBA season so far as they were beaten 111-87 by the San Antonio Spurs.
The Spurs, who lost to the Eastern Conference side in last year's NBA Finals, never trailed as they cruised to the win.
Tim Duncan led the home side with 23 points and 11 rebounds in the first meeting between the two sides at the AT&T Center since Miami were crowned champions last season.
LeBron James was able to play without his protective facemask for most of the game, but was held to 19.
The Heat did try to get themselves back into contention in the second half, reducing San Antonio's lead to five during the third quarter, but the home side were able to finish strongly and seal the win.
The result leaves Spurs second in the Western Conference, one win behind the Oklahoma City Thunder, while the Heat are also second in their conference, 10 games clear of the third-placed Toronto Raptors.
