The Miami Heat have completed the signing of power forward Amar'e Stoudemire on a one-year deal.
The 32-year-old started the 2014-15 campaign with the New York Knicks, but was released midway through the campaign before signing with the Dallas Mavericks.
Stoudemire made a limited impact in his time with the Mavericks, and was allowed to hit free agency, but has now penned a one-year contract worth $1.5m (£966,000) to sign with Erik Spoelstra's men.
Heat president Pat Riley added in a statement: "[Stoudemire] is going to bring gravitas, leadership and a hardworking mentality to our team."
Stoudemire has been named an NBA All-Star six times in his 13-year career.
