Minnesota Timberwolves general manager Milt Newton has insisted that the franchise is not looking to trade point guard Ricky Rubio.
Rubio was limited to just 22 games last season due to injury, and it was the second time in his first four years in the league that he had been sidelined for a significant period of time.
"We are not talking to anybody about trading Ricky," Newton told The AP.
Newton added that the 24-year-old is "one of the best facilitators in the league", and believes that the Spaniard has a crucial role to play in leading a team full of young talent.
The Timberwolves open their training camp on Tuesday with Rubio expected to attend.
