The Minnesota Timberwolves are reportedly ready to buy out the contract of forward Anthony Bennett.
The Timberwolves secured the signing of Bennett in a three-team trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers at the start of last season.
However, the 22-year-old failed to make an impact with the Timberwolves and the club have signalled their intent to move on from the forward.
Minnesota have failed to find a trade partner for Bennett, and as a result they are prepared to pay out his contract, reports ESPN.
Bennett was selected with the first overall pick in the 2013 Draft by the Cavaliers.
