New Orleans Pelicans forward Quincy Pondexter has undergone successful off-season knee surgery.
The team have not put an exact timetable on his recovery, but they hope that he will be able to play at the beginning of next season.
Pondexter moved to the Pelicans from the Memphis Grizzlies in January, and scored a career-high 25 points in their win over the Brooklyn Nets in February.
He had been expected to miss most of this season due to a foot injury earlier in the campaign.
Pondexter has been a regular in the NBA since 2010.
