Eric Gordon has reportedly informed the New Orleans Pelicans that he will be opting into the final year of his contract with the team.
The shooting guard has the option to test the free agency market during this offseason, but is due to make $15.5m (£9.75m) next year.
According to Basketball Insiders, the 26-year-old has already opted in for next season after the side secured their first playoff spot for four years.
Gordon averaged 13.4 points per game during 61 appearances for the Pelicans last season.
