New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony has suggested that he is not enthusiastic about the impending arrival of Jimmer Fredette.
Former Sacramento Kings point guard Fredette, 26, is expected to join the Knicks on a ten-day contract on Monday after three months with the side's D-League outfit the Westchester Knicks.
Speaking to the NY Post following his side's 103-95 victory at the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night, Anthony said of Fredette: "Who are we getting? To be honest with you, I haven't seen Jimmy play in a long time.
"I've been hearing about what's he's doing down there in the D-League but I haven't seen him play in action for a long time."
He then joked: "I thought you were telling me we were about to sign someone."
Fredette has been in scintillating form for the Westchester Knicks since his arrival, averaging 22.3 points and 4.8 points in 28 games.
