Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant has said that relaxing and playing his own game helped him to recover his form against the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday.
Durant was the standout performer as he pushed his side to a 4-3 first-round win over Memphis, as he grabbed 33 points on 12-for-18 shooting in the 120-109 victory.
"I was finally able to get out of my own way tonight," he told reporters after the game.
"I was thinking too much, worried about what you guys (the media) were saying about me. I just relaxed and played my game.
"You guys motivated me a little, even though I told you you didn't."
The Thunder will begin at home for Game One of the Western Conference semi finals on Monday.
