Kevin Durant has said that the Oklahoma City Thunder faced an Atlanta Hawks side with a "revved up" intensity last night.
The Thunder had to defend hard to hold on for a 101-92 win over Atlanta, leaving them with just one defeat in their last 12 outings.
The forward told reporters: "They revved up their intensity on the defensive end, their physicality. We matched their intensity and were able to take that punch and give a bigger punch back on the defensive end."
Head coach Scott Brooks added: "We finally got a couple stops in a row at the end. Any time you hold an NBA team in the 30s percent-wise in field goals, then you're doing a good job defensively."
Durant led the team with 30 points.
