Brad Stevens: 'Boston Celtics not good enough against Reggie Jackson'

Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens says that the team did not do a good job covering Reggie Jackson in their defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Brad Stevens has said that the Boston Celtics were not good enough at stopping Reggie Jackson in their defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The point guard scored 27 points during the Thunder's 119-96 win over the Celtics last night.

The coach told reporters: "Yeah he was great, he was great tonight. He wasn't driving and kicking very often, he got to the rim on us way too much and he made a couple tough ones and he got to the line some, but for the most part I thought we probably didn't do a good enough job on him as a group not necessarily as an individual.

"I don't think of it in the way of tipping your cap, you try and figure out how to stop it or how to make it tougher, but he's obviously a good player. [Kevin] Durant's obvious, [Serge] Ibaka's obvious.

"Those guys have proven themselves time and time again, but the guys who really stand out to me in their improvement as a group over the course of the season and what makes them [the Thunder] I think one of the two or three favorites to win the whole thing is the fact that Jackson and Lamb are developing so fast."

The Celtics sit second in the Atlantic Division.
