Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Tuesday night's games in the NBA.

The Miami Heat's 10-game winning streak was broken last night in their 107-97 defeat to the Detroit Pistons.

LeBron James gave the defending NBA champions some late hope after helping the team reduce the Pistons' lead from 18 points to three, but a series of missed shots from the hosts prevented them from completing the comeback.

The Denver Nuggets thrashed the Brooklyn Nets 111-87 to extend their winning streak to seven games.

The teams remained close in the first two quarters, but the Nets were outscored 31-15 in the third, with Timofey Mozgov clinching 17 points and 20 rebounds, giving them too much to do in the final period.

A strong fourth-quarter performance from Dirk Nowitzki led the Dallas Mavericks to victory over the Charlotte Bobcats.

The German scored 14 points in the final 12 minutes while Monta Ellis also contributed as the Mavericks overturned a seven-point deficit in the final period.

The Oklahoma City Thunder survived a late push by the Sacramento Kings to take their eighth win in a row.

The visitors led by 13 points heading into the fourth quarter before the hosts outscored the Thunder 30-19, but Kevin Durant's earlier efforts were enough for Oklahoma City to take the win.

The Philadelphia 76ers needed two spells of overtime to beat the Orlando Magic, despite Arron Afflalo scoring a career-high 43 points for the visitors.

The teams were close throughout but Thaddeus Young and Michael Carter-Williams both added late points in overtime to clinch the win for the hosts.

A dominant second-half performance helped the Memphis Grizzlies to a comfortable win over the Phoenix Suns.

The visitors had a narrow lead at half time, but a 64-37 second half with Jon Leuer and Ed Davis leading the way gave the Grizzlies the win, despite being without starters Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol.

The Golden State Warriors recorded their biggest fourth-quarter comeback in 50 years to beat the Toronto Raptors.

The Canadian side led by 27 points before Stephen Curry and David Lee led the Warriors fightback, helping them outscore the Raptors 42-15 in the last 12 minutes.

The Boston Celtics pressed hard late on to seal a win over the Milwaukee Bucks, scoring 39 points in the fourth quarter.

The home side led heading into the final 12 minutes before the Bucks started to up their game, but Jordan Crawford led the Celtics as they closed out the game to secure their eighth win of the season.
