Brett Brown has said that any game that the Philadelphia 76ers win would be "considered an upset".
The Sixers recorded their 20th defeat in a row when they were beaten 103-77 by the Memphis Grizzlies last night.
The coach told reporters: "We have to come out swinging. We've got to compete. This is not slit-your-wrist time. This is not even close to that.
"This is about building a program and understanding the short-term pain for a lot of long-term gain. That's my vision. That's how I approach it.
"Any win we have right now would be considered an upset. That's the way it's played out at this stage."
Philadelphia face the Indiana Pacers tomorrow.
