Sacramento Kings owner Vivek Ranadive expects all other NBA owners to support the forced sale of the Los Angeles Clippers following Donald Sterling's ban for making racist comments.

Sacramento Kings owner Vivek Ranadive has said that he expects all NBA franchise owners to support a vote to force Donald Sterling to sell the Los Angeles Clippers.

The league handed the 80-year-old a lifetime ban from the NBA after he was recorded making racist comments in an argument with his girlfriend.

Ranadive told ESPN: "I would be surprised if this was not a unanimous vote. The owners are amazing people, they're colour-blind, and I fully expect a unanimous vote.

"There's still a process that the NBA has to go through. I expect that they'll have a sub-committee that examines this issue and takes it to the entire board.

"The commissioner has shown that he can act quickly, so I expect him to continue acting quickly. People were outraged by these comments. This is really a global game, you have people from all parts of the world, all skin colors, all religions. The only thing we care about is if you have game."

Talkshow host Oprah Winfrey is considering a bid for the team, as is music mogul David Geffen, while boxers Floyd Mayweather Jr and Oscar de la Hoya have also expressed an interest in purchasing the team.
